Year to date, the purchase of foreign currency by the NBU exceeded its sale by US$2.168 billion, or tenfold.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought US$261.2 million on the interbank foreign exchange market last week, which is 6.5 times more than a week earlier.
Since the beginning of the month, the regulator has bought US$760.9 million on the interbank market, but did not sell the currency, the NBU said on its website.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank of Ukraine in June 2019 bought US$322.3 million on the interbank forex market to replenish the country's international reserves.
