Ukraine's budget falls short of US$499 mln in taxes, customs duties in Jan-July

In July, the tax service exceeded the revenue target by UAH 7 billion ($249 million).

Ukraine's national budget fell short of UAH UAH 14 billion (US$499 million) in taxes and customs duties over the first seven months of 2019, according to State Tax Service Head Serhiy Verlanov.

"The seven-month overfulfillment by the State Tax Service amounted to UAH 5 billion ($178 million). There are questions concerning the State Customs Service. The shortage amounted to about UAH 19 billion ($678 million). If we look at it using the SFS [State Fiscal Service] system, the shortage over the seven months amounted to UAH 14 billion ($499 million)," he said.

At the same time, Verlanov added that in July, the tax service exceeded the revenue target by UAH 7 billion ($249 million).

As UNIAN reported earlier, in the first six months, budget revenue totaled UAH 506.823 billion, or US$19.43 billion, which was 5% down on the planned indicator.
