Energoatom reduces net profit to US$43.92 mln in H1 2019

The nuclear energy giant's net profit from product sales grew by 12.3% y-o-y.

State-run enterprise Energoatom, the operator of Ukrainian-based nuclear power plants, received UAH 1.113 billion (US$43.92 million) of net profit in January-June 2019 (H1 2019), which is 65% less year-over-year (y-o-y).

The nuclear energy giant's net profit from product sales over the period under review grew by 12.3% y-o-y, to UAH 23.306 billion (US$919.73 million) from UAH 20.747 billion (US$818.74 million).

The cost of sales in H1 2019 rose by 13.6% and amounted to UAH 17.704 billion (US$698.65 million), while gross profit slightly grew to UAH 5.601 billion (US$221.03 million).

Other operating expenses of the company in January-June increased by 7.6 times, to UAH 3.083 billion (US$121.66 million).
