"We have made six months through and the results of the implementation of the 2019 budget have an impact not only on this year, but also on the planning of the budget for 2020, which is at its final stage at the finance ministry before its future submission to Ukraine's new Cabinet of Ministers. In short: everything is under control and we are ready for September [debt repayments]," she wrote on Facebook on August 5, commenting on the budget fulfillment in the seven months of 2019.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the deficit of the Ukrainian national budget's general fund in January-July 2019 was estimated at UAH 1.1 billion, or US$42.7 million, with an approved annual target at UAH 90 billion (US$3.4 billion).

As of August 1, funds on the single treasury account amounted to UAH 49 billion (US$1.9 billion), while the balance of funds on the currency accounts of Ukraine's State Treasury Service was estimated at UAH 76.8 billion (US$3 billion) in the equivalent. It is enough for servicing and repaying public debt in the coming months.

UNIAN memo. The national budget of Ukraine for 2019 provides for revenue at UAH 1.026 trillion (US$39.9 billion) and expenditures at UAH 1.112 trillion (US$43.2billion), with the deficit limited to UAH 89.989 billion (US$3.5 billion).

According to the Budget Code, the government must submit a draft national budget to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, before September 15.
