A subsidiary fund of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is ready to allocate up to EUR 100 million for energy efficiency projects in Ukraine, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing, and Communal Services Hennadiy Zubko has said.
"The [fund] is waiting for the right tools and ready to provide EUR 100 million for energy efficiency market, which will provide employment to our enterprises and stimulate the economy," Zubko said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday.
The fund, named "The Eastern European Partnership for Energy Efficiency and Environment (E5R)," was set up to coordinate and accelerate the implementation of important energy efficiency and environmental projects in the EU’s Eastern Partnership countries.
