Naftogaz pays about US$2.8 bln in taxes to budget in seven months

The group's payments accounted for 16.3% of the total revenue of Ukraine's budget.

National JSC Naftogaz of Ukraine paid about UAH 70.6 billion, or US$2.8 billion, in taxes and fees to the national budget in January-July 2019, the company's press service said in a statement.

"According to current data, the enterprises of the Naftogaz Group paid about UAH 70.6 billion in taxes and fees to the national and local budgets in January-July 2019," the statement said.

The group's payments accounted for 16.3% of the total revenue of the national budget in the seven months of 2019.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Naftogaz in 2018 paid UAH 137.8 billion in taxes and dividends to the national budget, which was a third more than in 2017.

In 2017, Naftogaz paid more than UAH 107.3 billion in taxes and dividends to the country's budget.

Naftogaz is engaged in the development of deposits, production of crude oil and natural gas, their transportation, as well as the sale of fuel through its own network of gas stations.
