Almost 2 million tonnes of meat was produced in Ukraine in the seven months of 2019.
Meat production in Ukraine in January-July 2019 totaled 1.88 million tonnes (in live weight), which was 6.1% more than in the same period last year, the State Statistics Service said.
However, milk production in the country in January-July 2019 decreased by 3.4%, to 5.8 million tonnes, it said.

Egg production increased by 5.7%, to 10.2 billion eggs.
The State Statistics Service noted that its report does not include date from Russia-occupied Crimea, Sevastopol and parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
As UNIAN reported earlier, meat production in Ukraine in 2018 increased by 1%, to 3.3 million tonnes, while milk output decreased by 2%, to 10 million tonnes.
Egg production increased by 4%, up to 16.1 billion eggs.
