Ukraine's Finance Ministry borrows UAH 1 bln in domestic market

No bonds have been placed in foreign currency.

Ukraine's Finance Ministry has borrowed UAH 1.072 billion, or US$42.58 million, for the national budget at the latest weekly auction to place government domestic loan bonds.

The funds in hryvnias were raised through the placement of securities with 91-, 322-, and 1078-day maturity periods and a weighted average yield of 16.5%, 16.16%, and 16.19% per annum, respectively, the ministry said on its website on August 20.

No bonds have been placed in foreign currency, the report said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Finance Ministry borrowed UAH 166.6 billion (US$6.6 billion), US$3.2 billion, and EUR 189 million for the national budget at weekly bond placement auctions in January-July 2019.
