Since the beginning of the new 2019-2020 marketing year (MY, July 2019 - June 2020), as of August 22, Ukrainian have farmers exported 6.9 million tonnes of cereals, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food said.
In particular, 3.7 million tonnes of wheat was exported, as well as over 1.6 million tonnes of barley, and 1.7 million tonnes of maize.
In addition, during the reporting period, farmers supplied to foreign markets 40,600 tonnes of wheat flour.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in 2018-2019, agrarians exported 49.7 million tonnes of cereals, which is a record high throughout the history of state independence.
The previous grain export record in Ukraine was set in 2016-2017 MY at the level of 43.8 million tonnes.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, 2018 grain crops in Ukraine amounted to a record 70.1 million tonnes.
