Zelensky congratulates Ukrainian miners on professional holiday

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday, Aug 25, congratulated Ukrainian miners on their professional holiday, Miner's Day.

"The daily hard work and high professionalism of the miners is the key to the stable operation of the domestic fuel and energy complex, able to meet the needs of the national producers in high-quality energy and providing heat and light to every Ukrainian household," reads the address published on the president's website.

Zelensky emphasized that today the miners are facing new challenges and responsible tasks.

"I believe that in the process of reforming and updating the industry, we will jointly achieve energy independence for our country. I am sure that your courage and dedication will continue to contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development of the state and increase the level of well-being of our citizens," said the president of Ukraine.

The head of state wished the miners good health, peace, family well-being, and significant labor achievements.

On the occasion of Miner's Day, the president for the first time in recent years issued state awards to a number of Ukrainian miners.
