This is 75% less than in July.
In August, the National Bank of Ukraine bought $316 million in the interbank foreign exchange market, or $300 million more than it sold.
The figures for net currency purchase in the interbank market for August are 75% lower than in the previous month, when the regulator bought a record volume of foreign currency in the amount of $1.271 billion, and did not sell any, reads the report published on the NBU website.

It is also reported that since the beginning of the year, the purchase of foreign currency by the National Bank exceeded its sale by $2.978 billion.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine’s international reserves as of August 1 amounted to $21.84 billion, which is 5.8% higher than as of early July.
