Net currency purchases on the interbank market in August were 75% down from July.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought US$316 million on the interbank forex market in August 2019, which exceeded sales by $300 million.

Net currency purchases on the interbank market in August were 75% down from July when the regulator bought a record high $1.271 billion and did not sell the currency, according to the regulator's website.
Since the beginning of the year, the central bank has bought on the interbank market $2.978 billion more than it sold, the report said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's international reserves totaled $21.84 billion as of August 1, which was 5.8% up from July 1.
