"The average price of it is EUR 27 per week [in Ukraine], and the most expensive basket is in Switzerland. The price of such a basket is EUR 141 over seven days there," the Ukrainian TSN news service wrote on September 5, referring to the relevant European association.
Experts also compared the prices of fruit and vegetables in European countries.
Apples, bananas, onions and potatoes could be bought at the lowest price in Ukraine, while the price of these products is the highest in Switzerland, Monaco and Norway.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the prices of vegetables from Ukraine's borsch kit almost doubled in 2018, to UAH 56.6 ($2.24). In total, Ukraine harvested 9.4 million tonnes of vegetables in 2018.
