Ukrainian national budget's general fund fails to get US$1.8 bln in revenue in Jan-Aug

This increases the risks of increase in government domestic borrowing and public debt.

The revenue plan of the Ukrainian national budget's general fund in January-August 2019 failed to be fulfilled by 4.8%, or UAH 46.2 billion (US$1.8 billion).

In particular, the plan on revenue was not implemented by UAH 30.8 billion ($1.2 billion), that on government borrowing by UAH 17.7 billion ($699.3 million), and plan on privatization of state property by UAH 6 billion ($237.1 million), according to the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine.

This increases the risks of increase in government domestic borrowing and public debt, the report said.

It is noted the national budget spending plan over the period under review was not fulfilled by UAH 56.4 billion ($2.2 billion), or 8.6%, including that for the servicing the public debt by UAH 13.9 billion ($549.2 million).

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's national budget in August 2019 received UAH 87.594 billion ($3.5 billion) in revenue, which was by 9% down from the target set for the period and by 7% y-o-y.

The national budget in January-August 2019 received UAH 671.731 billion ($26.5 billion) in revenue, which was 4.5% down from the planned figure, while 10.6% up y-o-y.
