The greatest prospects for Ukrainian exports to the United States are in the areas of agricultural products, information technology and the aerospace industry, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey R. Pyatt has said, according to Radio Liberty.
"I am very proud of the cooperation that we have between Orbital Sciences (a U.S. company specializing in the manufacture of spacecraft and launch vehicles) and Ukraine’s Pivdenmash", the ambassador said.
He also added that U.S. customers are also interested in export of metallurgical and heavy industry products from Ukraine. Pyatt said that it would significantly expand the market by concluding new contracts with Europe and China.
In January-February 2015, Ukraine generated $90 million in revenues from exports to the United States, which is 165% more compared to the same period in 2014. The data were published by the State Statistics Service.
