Ukraine's hryvnia updates historic maximum

The official hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar updated the three-year historical maximum set on August 1 of this year at UAH 25.02 to the dollar.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on Tuesday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 14 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 24.88 to the dollar.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for September 11:

US$100 costs UAH 2,488.2279 (UAH 2,502.6567 as of Sept 10);

EUR 100 costs UAH 2,747.0036 (UAH 2,761.1811 as of Sept 10);

Thus, the official hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar updated the three-year historical maximum set on August 1 of this year at UAH 25.02 to the dollar.

On Tuesday, September 10, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 25.00/25.03 to the dollar.

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 27.60/27.63.
