Money supply decreased by 0.6%.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) says cash in circulation outside the country's banking system in August 2019 shrank by 0.5%, to UAH 355.7 billion (US$14.3 billion).
Cash in circulation outside banks has dropped by 2.2% since the beginning of 2019, the regulator said on its website on Sept 12.
Money supply (the monetary aggregate M3) decreased by 0.6% in August alone, whereas it grew by 2.1% from the beginning of the year, to UAH 1.304 trillion ($52.2 billion).

The monetary base expanded by 2.2% in August and by 2.3% from January 1, 2019, to UAH 445.7 billion ($17.9 billion), the report said.
UNIAN memo. Money supply in Ukraine in 2018 grew by 5.6% to UAH 1.276 trillion ($51.1 billion), while the monetary base increased by 9.2%, to UAH 435.8 billion ($17.5 billion).
