Russia will not agree to any restructuring of the $3 billion debt it is owed by Ukraine, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in response to comments by Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalia Jaresko that the restructuring of Ukrainian Eurobonds of $3 billion would fall under the mechanisms of the London club, Russian news agency TASS reported on Thursday.
"We will not agree to any restructuring. We expect from Ukraine the implementation of its obligations," he said.
"We will submit to arbitration in accordance with English law, as provided for in the event of the Ukrainian default or non-compliance with its obligations to the Russian Federation," Siluanov said.
"We will decide on this in December this year," he added.
