Belorusneft has signed an agreement on investment in oil fields in the province of Pastaza in eastern Ecuador, Russian newspaper Gazeta.ru has reported.
It is also reported that apart from the Belarusian company, the development of the field will be also performed by Chilean company Enap.
The volume of investments in the first year is planned at $100 million. According to the Ecuadorian company Petroamazonas, exploration work is estimated at $25-30 million, and the development of the field - at $375 million.
Earlier it was reported that the United States decided to lift the sanctions against the Belarus energy public firm.
