Naftogaz pays US$3.2 bln in taxes, duties to budget in Jan-Aug

Revenue from Naftogaz Group accounted for 15.7% of total national budget revenue over the eight months of 2019.

National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine in January-August 2019 paid to the national budget nearly UAH 78.8 billion (US$3.2 billion) in taxes and duties.

"Naftogaz Group paid UAH 79.8 billion in taxes and duties to the state and local budgets in January-August 2019," the company's press service said on Sept 12.

Naftogaz Group's contribution accounted for 15.7% of the state budget revenue over the eight months of 2019, the press service added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Naftogaz in 2018 paid UAH 137.8 billion ($5.5 billion) in taxes and dividends, which was almost a third more than in 2017.

The corresponding sum Naftogaz paid in 2017 was over UAH 107.3 billion ($4.3 billion).

Naftogaz develops oil and gas fields, produces crude oil and natural gas. Its core business is also transportation and trade in fuel through its own network of filling stations.
