National Joint Stock Company Nadra Ukrainy is not going to abandon its plans for shale gas development in the Yuzovsky and Olesky gas fields, the company has reported.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UAA1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to the statement, the company denies false reports in some media that Nadra Ukrainy is allegedly going to give up its participation in the development of shale gas deposits in these areas.

"Considering the fact that these reports did not provide a single reference to a reliable source or company comment, Nadra Ukrainy officially informs that no decision to give up participation in LLC Nadra Yuzovsky and LLC Nadra Olesky has been made", the statement reads.

The company stressed that the Ukrainian government is interested in cooperating with foreign investors for the benefit of the state.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in January 24, 2013, the largest oil company Shell company signed with Ukrainian company Nadra Yuzovsky a shale gas production sharing contract in Yuzovsky field in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. Nadra Ukrainy owns 90% of Nadra Yuzovsky, with the remaining 10% held by a little-known company SEC-Geoservice.

On November 5, 2013, there was signed an agreement of intent between U.S. oil company Chevron and Ukrainian company Nadra Olesky to carry out extraction of shale gas in the west of the country. A 90% share stake of Nadra Olesky is owned by Nadra Ukrainy.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the subsidiary of Nadra Ukrainy is facing the risk of looking the right to extract gas from the field in Lviv region.
