Naftogaz's head says, in turn, Ukraine and Slovakia are ready to ensure Russian gas supplies to European countries instead of the OPAL gas pipeline.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Ukraine will do its best to ensure uninterrupted gas transit shipments to European markets.

"We've also discussed cooperation in the energy sector. Ukraine and Slovakia are reliable gas transit countries to Europe. And we will make every effort to ensure uninterrupted gas supplies to the European market," Zelensky said at a joint press conference with President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová in Kyiv on September 16, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
As UNIAN reported earlier, CEO of National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolyev says the gas transmission systems (GTS) of Ukraine and Slovakia are ready to ensure Russian gas supplies to European countries instead of the OPAL gas pipeline, access to which was limited.
