A Ukrainian government financial and economic delegation during a working visit to Washington asked for the suspension of antidumping duties on Ukrainian steel, according to a posting by Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius on the social network Twitter.
"[There was a] meeting with US Commerce Department. We ask the US to suspend unfair anti-dumping sanctions against our metallurgists" the minister tweeted.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in February 2014, US Department of Commerce announced a preliminary ruling on anti-dumping investigations. According to the department’s ruling, a preliminary anti-dumping duty at the rate of 5.31% was set with regard to the import of oil and gas pipes from Ukraine.
