Tests are to be carried out at Joint Stock Holding Company Artem, Ukroboronservice, Scientific and Technical Complex Impulse, Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing and services company Antonov, Informservice – Inter-branch Center for Special Communications, NPC Ukrenergo and its five separate divisions, and at State Enterprise National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom and its three separate divisions.

The purpose of such testing is to prevent harm to national security in the field of information security, the press service said. The testing will be conducted from April to June 2015.

As earlier reported, previously unknown hackers repeatedly conducted DDoS-attacks on the Internet resources of state bodies and government portals.

In April this year, MPs registered bill No.4994 on improvements to be made to Ukraine’s information security and toughening penalties for unauthorized interference in information and telecommunications system operations.

The bill envisages sentences of from two to six years in prison for unauthorized interference in information and telecommunications system operations and the distribution of limited-access electronic information. Currently, such crimes are subject to a maximum fine of 100 tax-free minimum incomes.
