Official hryvnia rate updates its four-year high against U.S. dollar

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official forex rate of the hryvnia to the U.S. dollar at UAH 24.12 for Thursday, September 26, thus the Ukrainian currency has updated its four-year high, which was registered on September 25 at UAH 24.21 per U.S. dollar.

The official exchange rate to the euro for September 26 is fixed at UAH 26.49 per euro.

According to dealers of commercial banks, quotations of the hryvnia against the U.S. dollar on the interbank forex market of Ukraine at the close of trading on Wednesday settled at UAH 24.18/24.20 per U.S. dollar, which was three kopiykas higher than the rate fixed at the end of previous trading.

Quotations of the hryvnia against the euro were at UAH 26.56/26.58 per euro, which was seven kopiykas higher than the previous closing level.

UNIAN earlier reported that, as was the case during the previous week, the Ukrainian hryvnia updated its three-year high against the U.S. dollar three times last week.
