Zelensky comments on IMF review mission's work in Ukraine

The head of state stressed the importance of Ukraine's cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.

The review mission of the International Monetary Fund, which has been in Ukraine for the last weeks, has shown support for the initiatives of the Ukrainian authorities, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in New York Sept 26.

The comment came during Zelensky's meeting with bondholders and representatives of rating agencies.

The head of state stressed the importance of Ukraine's cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.

"We understand that through cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, we will be able to achieve the best results in the rule of law, maintain macroeconomic stability, attract foreign direct investment and carry out reforms that will lead to sustainable economic growth," Volodymyr Zelensky said.

Volodymyr Zelensky reminded that the High Anti-Corruption Court started its work on Sept 5. The process of preparation for privatization of state property is also being completed.

The president told about legislative initiatives aimed at attracting foreign capital to Ukraine.

"We have developed dozens of bills aimed at improving the investment climate. In particular, it is about reforming the law enforcement and judicial systems and removing restrictions on the capital flow. The bill on concessions was also approved in the first reading," the head of state said.
