Hryvnia strengthens by 4.1 % to dollar in Sept – NBU

In January-September 2019, the hryvnia strengthened by almost 13% against the U.S. dollar.

Ukraine's national currency, the hryvnia, in September 2019 strengthened by 4.1% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 24.20 at the official rate of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

The hryvnia also strengthened by 5.7% against the euro, to UAH 26.35, the regulator said on its website on October 1.

In January-September 2019, the hryvnia strengthened by 12.6% against the U.S. dollar and by 16.9% against the euro.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's national currency in August 2019 weakened by 0.8% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 25.23 at the NBU official rate.

Ukraine's state budget for 2019 is based on the forecast rate set at UAH 29.4 to the dollar by the end of 2019.
