Transit shipments of natural gas via the Ukrainian gas transmission system (GTS) in January-September 2019 grew by 1.3% year-over-year (y-o-y), to 66.309 billion cubic meters (bcm).

In particular, gas transit supplies from Russia via Ukraine in September 2019 alone stood at 6.76 bcm, which was 6.9% less year-over-year, the state-run gas transport system operator Ukrtransgaz said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, transit shipments of natural gas through the Ukrainian GTS in 2018 declined by 7.1% from 2017, to 89.774 bcm.
In 2017, Ukraine transmitted 93 bcm of gas to the European countries, setting a record high volume over the past years.
