Steelmakers produced 16.4 million tonnes of steel over the period under review.
Ukraine saw a 4.1% rise in steel output in January-September 2019, year-over-year, to 16.4 million tonnes.
The production of rolled steel over the period under review increased by 1.9%, to 14.1 million tonnes, while pig iron output rose by 1.1% to 15.5 million tonnes, the Ukrmetprom Association said on its website.

As UNIAN reported earlier, steel production in Ukraine in 2018 decreased by 2%, to 21 million tonnes.
Rolled steel production increased by 1%, to 18.45 million tonnes, while pig iron output grew by 2%, to 20.53 million tonnes.
