Ukrainian citizens in January-September 2019 sold $145.3 million more in cash foreign currency through the banking system than they bought.
Sales of cash foreign currency by Ukrainians through the banking system, which were estimated at US$1.430 billion, exceeded the purchases by $88.8 million in September 2019.

Sales of foreign currency have been exceeding the purchases after Ukrainians bought more currency in July and August, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

As UNIAN reported earlier, purchases of foreign currency by the Ukrainian population in August 2019 amounted to $1.424 billion, which was $97 million up on sales.
