Ukraine's Finance Ministry estimates state debt repayments at US$3.3 bln in Q4

Foreign debt repayments will total US$216 million.

Ukraine's Finance Ministry estimates debt repayments in the fourth quarter of 2019 (Q4) at UAH 80.3 billion, or US$3.3 billion at the official forex rate.

According to the state debt payment schedule, repayments on Ukraine's state debt as of October 1, including those on internal and external debt in October, total UAH 25.18 billion (US$1 billion) and UAH 1.85 billion (US$74.4 million), respectively.

In November, domestic debt repayments will be UAH 33 billion, or US$1.32 billion, while foreign debt repayments will total UAH 5.41 billion, or US$216 million.

Domestic debt repayments in December are set at UAH 13.16 billion (US$529.4 million), while foreign debt repayments at UAH 1.7 billion (US$68.4 billion).

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's state and government-guaranteed debt in August 2019 shrank by 0.6%, or $0.5 billion, to $81.92 billion in the U.S. dollar equivalent.

The debt in the hryvnia equivalent over the period under review decreased by 0.03%, or UAH 0.52 billion, to UAH 2.067 trillion.

State debt in January-August 2019 rose by 4.6% in the dollar equivalent, whereas it shrank by 4.7% in the hryvnia equivalent.
