The government wants to elaborate taxation rules for handling cryptocurrency.
Ukraine's Digital Transformation Ministry plans to legalize cryptocurrency mining, or cryptomining, in Ukraine within two or three years.

In particular, the government wants to develop taxation rules for handling cryptocurrency and approve international recommendations on combating money laundering before the summer of 2020 to minimize negative consequences of cryptocurrency legalization, according to a statement, posted by the ministry's press service on October 7 following a meeting with the country's blockchain community.
The ministry also plans within the said period to introduce blockchain technology to state registers, encourage international cryptocurrency exchanges to enter Ukraine, as well as make the country competitive in the global virtual assets market, inviting foreign companies and investors to Ukraine.
