Rumors of the alleged suspension of negotiations between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund on the next loan tranche of financial assistance are false, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Mylovanov wrote on Facebook.
"This is not true! Negotiations have not been suspended. This week, the minister of finance, NBU Board Chairman, and I will be meeting with the IMF in Washington," he wrote.
Mylovanov added that there are no violations of agreements with the IMF on the issue of PrivatBank.
"There's ongoing litigation between the state and the former owners of PrivatBank]. The state is defending its position and taxpayers' money," he added.
The minister also stressed that so far, no decisions or moves have been made that are "not in the interests of the state".

As UNIAN reported earlier, on October 10, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that independent experts be involved in negotiations with the former owners of PrivatBank.
On October 9, Deputy Chair of the National Bank of Ukraine, Kateryna Rozhkova, expressed the view that it is likely that Ukraine will sign a new program with the International Monetary Fund this year.
Earlier, on September 3, speaking on the air of one of Ukraine's TV channels, Mylovanov emphasized that Ukraine needs, among other things, to renew cooperation with its key creditor, the International Monetary Fund, so that the country has access to additional capital.
