The Ministry of Finance reports that Conrad will advise Jaresko on issues related to tax policy and general institutional reforms. Conrad first visited Ukraine in 1992 as a director of tax consulting program of the U.S. Treasury in Central and Eastern Europe, and since then he has occasionally advised the Ukrainian government.

Conrad has extensive experience in the field of taxation, having consulted for more than 40 countries in the area of tax policy and natural resources legislation.

"We are delighted that such an experienced professional will join our team. I'm sure his invaluable experience will further contribute to economic development in Ukraine and support major institutional reforms," Jaresko said when commenting on the appointment of her adviser.

Ukrainian Ministry of Finance attracts renowned international experts to develop an effective and business-friendly tax system in Ukraine. In February, the Ministry appointed a former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Slovakia, Ivan Mikloš, as an advisor on tax administration and the reorganization of the public finances of Ukraine.
