The Fund also predicts an annual weakening of the hryvnia against the dollar by 97 kopiykas.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF), Ukraine's key lender, expects the hryvnia, Ukraine's national currency, to strengthen against the U.S. dollar at year-end.
According to the Fund's analytical data on the World Economic Outlook for October 2019, the IMF's calculations are based on the assumption that the hryvnia exchange rate will stand at UAH 26.75 to the dollar at year-end, which is 1.6% higher than last year at UAH 27.20.
The Fund also predicts an annual weakening of the hryvnia against the dollar by 97 kopiykas., that is, UAH 27.72 to the dollar in 2020, UAH 28.70 in 2021, UAH 29.67 in 2022, UAH 30.64 in 2023, and UAH 31.61 in 2024.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's national currency in September 2019 beefed up over 4% against the U.S. dollar, and by over 12% from year-start. In late September, the hryvnia once again updated its four-year high historical high at UAH 24.08 per U.S. dollar against UAH 28.08 year-over-year.
