"Our ministers spent the entire week in the United States to continue work with their colleagues from the International Monetary Fund on a new three-year program for Ukraine. It was agreed that IMF representatives would make again a return visit to Ukraine in two weeks. I really hope that during their second visit we will make progress and will be able to clearly say that the program will be ready by the end of this year," he said in his video address posted on Facebook on October 21.

As UNIAN reported earlier, a recent IMF assessment mission worked in Kyiv on September 12-26. Following, the mission's work, the IMF said that they would continue work on a new three-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program for Ukraine in the coming weeks.

The National Bank of Ukraine estimated the potential volume of the new program at between US$5 billion and US$10 billion and predicted the arrival of a first disbursement worth US$2 billion before the end of the year.

Experts polled by UNIAN expect Ukraine will seek a new EFF program worth about US$10 billion for a period of two to four years.
