Official forex rate for Oct 22: Ukraine's hryvnia becomes stronger again

The hryvnia, Ukraine's national currency, has again become stronger against the U.S. dollar, as the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate at below UAH 25 per dollar.

The NBU set the following forex rate for Tuesday, October 22:

US$100 cost UAH 2,497.5156 (UAH 2,503.5071 as of October 21);

EUR 100 cost UAH 2,790.4742 (UAH 2,789.9083 as of October 21).

According to UNIAN, quotations of the hryvnia against the U.S. dollar on the interbank currency market on Monday, October 21, were set at the close of trading at UAH 24.87/24.91 per U.S. dollar, which was 22 kopiykas higher than the closing level of previous trading.

Hryvnia quotes against the euro were fixed at UAH 27.75/27.79 per euro, which was 20 kopiykas higher than the closing level of previous trading.
