The updated macroeconomic forecast is yet to be approved at a Cabinet meeting.
Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Makarova says the government has actively been working to finalize the draft national budget for 2020 for its second reading in parliament; it is expected to be ready by November 3, the deadline stipulated in the Budget Code.

"There is no updated macroeconomic forecast yet. It should be approved at a Cabinet meeting," she told journalists on October 22.
The ministry also expects budgetary conclusions from the Ukrainian parliament, she said.
"We have already received them in working order, but we will have also to get them officially," she said.
Earlier on October 22, the Economy Ministry presented the updated macroeconomic forecast for 2020, which assumes that Ukraine's GDP growth may reach 3.7% (the base-case scenario) or 4.8% (the best-case scenario) with 5.5% inflation.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, on October 18 passed the government-prepared bill on the national budget of Ukraine for 2020 in the first reading, taking into account the Budget Committee's proposals. The document is based on the current macroeconomic forecast with a 3.3% GDP growth and the forex rate of the hryvnia set at UAH 28.2 per U.S. dollar.
