Ukraine's Finance Ministry launching E-Contract project

The implementation of the project will take four or six months on average.

Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Markarova says the ministry has introduced the E-Contract project, which will continue the data transformation in the field of public finance by transferring all agreements and contracts concluded in the ProZorro public e-procurement system into electronic format.

"Today we are launching the E-Contract project, which will fully switch all the contracts that are concluded via ProZorro [electronic platform] and which we see at the State Treasury to full-fledged electronic form," she said while presenting the project to the public and international experts on October 22.

According to Markarova, contracts can be signed immediately after winning a tender through the ProZorro electronic platform.

"This will be a great gift for accountants across the country since after concluding and winning a tender via ProZorro, one can immediately sign the contracts [using an electronic digital signature]," the minister added.

An ad hoc group has already been created that is working on the project, which will be implemented in four or six months on average, she said.
