Ukraine's Finance Ministry borrows over US$120 mln in bonds on domestic market

No bonds denominated in foreign currency have been placed.

Ukraine's Finance Ministry has borrowed UAH 3.012 billion, or US$121.3 million, for the national budget at a recent weekly auction to place government domestic loan bonds.

Funds in hryvnias were raised through the placement of securities with 168-, 343-, and 1,085-day maturity periods and a weighted average yield of 15.40%, 14.80%, and 15.15% per annum, respectively, the ministry said on its website on October 22.

No bonds denominated in foreign currency have been placed, the report said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Finance Ministry borrowed UAH 194.816 billion (US$7.8 billion), US$3.767 billion, and EUR 189 million for the national budget at weekly bond auctions in January-September 2019.
