Honcharuk sees it as a positive signal for Ukrainian entrepreneurs and foreign investors.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk says Ukraine climbed seven points in the World Bank's Doing Business 2020 to rank 64th out of the 190 economies analyzed.

Honcharuk believes this is a "positive signal for Ukrainian entrepreneurs" and a "green light" to foreign investors. According to the official, the Cabinet of Ministers continues its activities in this direction: the Bankruptcy Code came into force three days ago; Ukraine's parliament adopted a law on increasing Ukraine's investment attractiveness a couple of weeks ago; and the government is also more actively handling deregulation processes, the Cabinet's press service said on October 24.
Over the past year, Ukraine has shown the greatest progress in two areas, namely in protecting minority investors and dealing with construction permits.
UNIAN memo. The Doing Business ranking is compiled by the World Bank annually to assess the investment attractiveness of 190 countries. It is based on a comprehensive analysis of reforms in each country, measuring 10 key areas to evaluate their economic results and effectiveness. The Doing Business index is an important measure for investors when deciding whether to invest in a country.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his team would do their best to ensure that Ukraine could enter the TOP 10 Doing Business ranking in three or four years.
