National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine has announced an open tender to hire independent financial and anti-corruption investigators for probes within its group of companies.

"In order to identify and eliminate illegal actions, including economic fraud, Naftogaz announces public bidding to acquire services for conducting independent financial and anti0corruption investigations," the company said on October 22.
It is noted that a contractor shall deliver the services before December 31, 2022. Those will include investigations of cases related to the following: suspicious transactions, financial statement fraud, infringement of legislation, bribery and corruption, business misconduct, misappropriation of assets and conflict of interest.
The involvement of international experts is expected to contribute to building an effective internal anti-corruption system and streamlining business processes in the Naftogaz group of companies.
"The start of cooperation with the world's leading companies in the fight against corruption and bribery is the next step in the strategy of zero tolerance to corruption, which is being implemented by the Naftogaz group," the statement said.
The expected bid shall not exceed UAH 65 million (US$2.6 million), the company added.
UNIAN memo. NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine is the largest state-run vertically integrated oil and gas holding whose subsidiaries account for about 90% of oil and gas production in Ukraine. Naftogaz develops oil and gas fields, produces crude oil and natural gas. Its core business is also transportation and trade in fuel through its own network of filling stations.
