Honcharuk stressed the signing of the new cooperation program would be a signal for international players that the Ukrainian economy has a stable macroeconomic basis for further growth.

As UNIAN reported earlier, a recent IMF assessment mission worked in Kyiv on September 12-26. Following the mission's work, the IMF said that they would continue work on a new three-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program for Ukraine in the coming weeks.

The National Bank of Ukraine estimated the potential volume of the new program at between US$5 billion and US$10 billion and predicted the arrival of a first disbursement worth US$2 billion before the end of the year.
