In 2013, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine was also in the red, its net loss was estimated at UAH 17.957 billion.
Ukraine's largest state-run energy holding Naftogaz of Ukraine's net loss in 2014 soared by 4.5 times from 2013, to UAH 85.044 billion, the company said in a financial report according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The company's net revenue from sales in 2014 increased to UAH 74.412 billion from UAH 73.218 billion in 2013.
Gross loss last year rose to UAH 11.109 billion from UAH 1.862 billion in 2013.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Naftogaz in 2013 posted UAH 17.957 billion in net loss, whereas its net loss in 2012 was UAH 31.466 billion.
According to Naftogaz's consolidated financial statements for 2012-2013, audited by Deloitte & Touche, Naftogaz's revenue from sales in 2013 decreased to UAH 75.899 billion from UAH 105.038 billion in 2012. Its operating loss in 2013 fell to UAH 7.336 billion, from UAH 22.183 billion in 2012.
Naftogaz's revenue from Russian gas transit in 2013 decreased to UAH 30.315 billion from UAH 32.594 billion in 2012. Revenue from oil transit in 2013 increased to UAH 1.411 billion from UAH 1.23 billion in 2012. Revenue from wholesale and retail sales of natural gas in 2013 decreased to UAH 36.447 billion from UAH 63.244 billion in 2012.
