President Zelensky earlier said more than half of Ukrspyrt's output remains in the "shadow".
The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture has secured control over several strategic enterprises in the agricultural sector, that's according to Minister Tymofiy Mylovanov.
The minister says the SOEs include two enterprises with the same name, Ukrspyrt, as well as the Agrarian Fund, the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, Artemsil salt manufacturer, and Koniarstvo Ukrayiny (Horse Breeding Agency of Ukraine).
"Finally, under our ministry's control. Today I signed acceptance papers for these and other 493 agricultural enterprises," Mylovanov wrote on his Facebook.

As reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said more than half of the output of the state-owned alcohol and liquor manufacturer, Ukrspyrt, remains in the "shadow", adding that for over the past 10 years, the industry had been under control of criminal organizations.
Deputy head of the Presidential Office, Yulia Kovaliv, said that since 2016, Ukrspyrt's financial performance has decreased by almost 80%.
