Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has earmarked UAH 250 million, or US$10 million, for setting up the country's National Wealth Fund, what is foreseen in the draft national budget for 2020.
"The finalized draft of the budget provides for an increase in costs to address a number of pressing issues, both social and economic, in particular, UAH 250 million for the creation and management of the National Wealth Fund (including its charter capital)," the explanatory note to the budget says.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers on September 29 approved the government's action plan. Among the goals of the Cabinet is the creation of the National Welfare Fund.
"We will create the National Welfare Fund, which will take over the management of state-owned strategic enterprises. The creation of the Fund will allow centralizing management, increasing its effectiveness and providing Ukrainian citizens with an adequate profit margin of their assets," the government's action plan says.
