Ukrainian agrarians exported 20 million tonnes of grain from July 1, the beginning of the marketing year (MY) 2019-2020, to November 5, 2019.
This was 5.5 million tonnes up year-over-year, the press service of Ukraine's State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection said.

In particular, they exported 11.8 million tonnes of wheat (including almost 9 million tonnes of bread wheat and 2.9 million tonnes of coarse wheat), and 3.2 million tonnes of barley.
Exports of maize over the period under review totaled 4.6 million tonnes.
Over the same period of the previous marketing year, Ukraine exported 8 million tonnes of wheat (4.7 million tonnes of bread wheat and 3.2 million tonnes of coarse wheat), 2.8 million tonnes of barley, and 3.2 million tonnes of maize.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the country's agribusinesses in MY 2018-2019 exported 49.7 million tonnes of grain, which was a record high over Ukraine's independence.
In MY 2017-2018, grain exports from Ukraine totaled 39.9 million tonnes.
