Ukraine's central bank buys US$372 mln on Nov 4-8

Last week, for the third week in a row, the regulator sold no foreign currency.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought US$372 million on the interbank foreign exchange market on November 4-8, which was 2.4 times more than it bought on the previous week, from October 28 to November 1.

Over the period under review, the regulator did not sell any foreign currency for the third week in a row, the NBU said on its website on November 11.

Since the beginning of the year, the central bank's purchases of foreign currency have exceeded sales by 10 times, or by US$4.5billion, the regulator said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank in October 2019 bought US$193.9 million on the interbank forex market to replenish the country's international reserves.
