Ukraine’s hryvnia currency strengthened again on Thursday, with the exchange rate settling at UAH 20.50 / 20.70 to the dollar, dealers at commercial banks have told UNIAN.
Dealers said the Ukrainian currency is rapidly strengthened its position on the interbank market. According to one trader, the quotes of the hryvnia against the euro are at UAG 23.28 / 23.63, and against the Russian ruble – UAH 0.4070 / 0.4120.
According to the National Bank, the weighted average rate of the hryvnia on the interbank market was set by 1230 at the level of UAH 20.6440 to the dollar. By that time 83 deals worth a total of $29.59 million had been concluded.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Wednesday, May 6, quotes of the hryvnia to the dollar on the interbank foreign exchange market at the close of trade settled at UAH 20.95 / 21.07.
