Ukraine's central bank buys almost US$192 mln on Nov 11-15

The regulator sold no foreign currency for the fourth week in a row.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought US$191.8 million on the interbank forex market on November 11-15, which was almost 50% down from the figure reported on the previous week, November 4-8.

Over the period under review, the regulator did not sell any foreign currency for the fourth week in a row, the NBU said on its website on November 18.

Since the beginning of the year, the central bank's purchases of foreign currency have exceeded sales by almost 11 times, or by US$4.696 billion, the regulator said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank in October 2019 bought US$193.9 million on the interbank forex market to replenish the country's international reserves.
